LAST 5050 YOUTH CENTER EVENT OF THE SCHOOL YEAR!! Friday, May 9th 6-8:30pm. MIDDLE SCHOOL DANCE PARTY with Discovery Center's awesome DJ TIM and his light and laser show! Discovery School of Music is currently accepting registrations for private instruction in piano, voice, band instruments, guitar, and violin. Take advantage of quality music education in a community setting. ALL AGES WELCOME! DAYTIME LESSONS FOR ADULTS & HOME-SCHOOLED YOUTH AVAILABLE. The goal of the Discovery School of Music is to provide musicians and their families with quality music instruction in an environment that combines dance classes, pottery, fine arts, tutoring and more! Homework and practice space as well as access to supplemental computer based music theory programs are available. New Opportunities coming this summer with jazz ensembles, group lessons, Discovery Boy's Choir, Composition Camp, Little Mozarts Labs, Music Wellness for Seniors and much more! 763-479-1530 x220 for more information or to register for classes. On Thursday, May 29th, in room 100 (the library), the Discovery School of Music will present Recreational Music Making Workshops at 11am and 2pm for seniors, caregivers, and recreational therapists. At 7pm that evening, join us for "Autism, Your Child and Music: An Interactive Workshop". These workshops are free and open to the public. We invite you to learn how music can make a difference in the life of every individual.

OTTEN BROS. has introduced a new fundraising program called "Give & Grow". Their goal is to provide an alternate way to help local community organizations earn money. Thoughout the month of May, 10% of each dollar you spend at Otten Bros. will go to the Discovery School of Music. There is no better way to SPRING into our musical summer! Since you are planning your summer gardening and yard chores now, please consider shopping at Otten Bros. where their Garden Center has over 12,000 products and endless opportunities to express your unique taste. This is an easy way to raise funds for the Discovery School of Music, which is a not-for-profit organization and part of the Discovery Arts Council.
